Dr. George W. Brownridge II, with over 35 years of experience, throughout his career has continually provided optimal oral and maxillofacial surgical care to his patients and the professional community as a whole. In 1994, he and his family moved to Chico where he established his current Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Practice. In this practice, he is committed to providing exceptional specialty care emphasizing on wisdom teeth removal, dental extractions, dental implants and reconstruction, orthognathic-corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology-diagnosis and biopsy, traumatic ora-facial injuries and repair, and outpatient general anesthesia.
As part of his commitment to the greater Chico community and his profession, Dr. Brownridge has not only developed a modern state-of-the-art outpatient surgical treatment center but additionally has enlisted and nurtures a very compassionate, professional competent and friendly team of administrative and surgical staff/personnel.
Dr. Brownridge earned his D.D.S. degree at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in 1974 and subsequently served in the United States Air Force as an expanded General Practice Resident from 1974-1977. He then entered and completed his surgical residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Southern California/Los Angeles County Medical Center in 1980. Upon graduation he served an academic position as a professor and Associate Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at USC/LA County Medical Center where he was instrumental in the education and training of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents from 1980-1995.
Currently, he is an active member of the Enloe Medical Staff and routinely participates in the Facial Trauma Panel. This also provides him access to a inpatient or same day surgical facility for those patients that require more extensive medical management or hospitalization for their procedures.
Dr. Brownridge has been a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1982. He is also an active fellow and member of the following professional organizations:

On a personal note, when away from the office Dr. Brownridge is a devoted husband to his wife, Tanya and proud father to his fourteen year-old son, George III aka: “G.W.”, and a twelve year-old daughter, Britta. He really loves family activities whether indoors or outdoors. Going out to dinner, the movies, a sporting event, are as enjoyable as camping, hiking, fishing, hunting, water-sports, cycling, skiing, and travel explorations.
He is also and annual supporter of several community support efforts- especially youth athletics. Groups include Durham Little League, Durham High Softball, local 4-H groups, Chico and Pleasant Valley High School Athletics to name a few. Dr. Brownridge has also been an active Rotarian for twenty-six years and is a Paul Harris Fellow.
